As a computer scientist I had written many thousand lines of code before I wrote the first line of a book. I lacked the experience in order to write. That is the essence of what I write about, anything which I have explored so deeply that I get the feeling I have run out of subject matter experts who know more than I do. My approach is hands-on and with skin in the game. Most people don’t have the time and inclination to dive so unconditionally into any space.

I have lived in South Africa, England and now Germany and speak the languages. Before graduating from the University of Bamberg I had jobs ranging from waiting tables, being a postman, security guard, shelve packer to managing a restaurant. I have traveled to over forty countries from Brazil and India, to Australia. Away from work and writing you’ll probably find me out on a forest walk or in a café with a friend. Or learning, always exploring
